Week 7 NFL Picks

Week 6 was capped off with a late afternoon thriller that saw the Bills top the Chiefs on a 4th quarter interception by Jordan Poyer on Patrick Mahomes. And with that, the Bills have the inside track on home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. It's time to turn our sights on Week 7 and some of the impactful matchups this weekend.

**All betting lines from bet365.com** (Updated Oct. 22)

New Orleans Saints (2-4) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-4)

The Saints are on struggle street right now and they will be without Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry and Marshon Lattimore for this game. Meanwhile, the Cardinals welcome back DeAndre Hopkins after his six game suspension and we'll see if the positive trend continues with Kyler Murray having his star receiver back in the mix. Pick: Cardinals, 24-17.

Line: Cardinals -1.5

ML: Cardinals

Spread: Cardinals

Atlanta Falcons (3-3) @ Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)

The Falcons have really surprised me so far this year, hanging around in a lot of games and much of that can be attributed to the play of Marcus Mariota. I'm still not a believer though and this should be a spot for the Bengals to keep pace with the Ravens for the AFC North lead. Pick: Bengals, 26-17.

Line: Bengals -6.5

ML: Bengals

Spread: Bengals

Cleveland Browns (2-4) @ Baltimore Ravens (3-3)

The Ravens really need this win. They have to be kicking themselves after another blown 4th quarter lead to the Giants last week (they surrendered two 20-point leads to the Dolphins and Bills earlier this year). This is where we need to see Lamar Jackson rise to the occasion and close the game out down the stretch. Pick: Ravens, 24-20.

Line: Ravens -6.5

ML: Ravens

Spread: Browns

Detroit Lions (1-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (4-2)

Dak Prescott is set to make his return against the Lions this week. I think this is a big boost to the Cowboys offense as Cooper Rush's struggles in the red zone have been noticeable. The Lions rank dead last in passing DVOA allowed, so this should be a great welcome back spot for Prescott. Pick: Cowboys, 27-17.

Line: Cowboys -6.5

ML: Cowboys

Spread: Cowboys

Green Bay Packers (3-3) @ Washington Commanders (2-4)

What has happened to the Packers? Man, they look awful right now offensively -- does Aaron Rodgers miss Davante Adams that much? Something has to give here as I'm not sure their defense is strong enough to carry them to a playoff spot. Pick: Packers, 23-20.

Line: Packers -4.5

ML: Packers

Spread: Commanders

Indianapolis Colts (3-2-1) Tennessee Titans (3-2)

Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines return to the Colts lineup in time for a crucial matchup with the Titans. This is a big game for the AFC South lead and Mike Vrabel is 4-0 when coming off a bye. Can the Colts slow down Derrick Henry and come up with a big road win? Pick: Colts, 24-21.

Line: Titans -2.5

ML: Colts

Spread: Colts

New York Giants (5-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (2-4)

The Giants might be the most resilient team in the NFL right now as they continue to fight back in the second half of games this season and last week they were down 10 to the Ravens at home in the 4th quarter before pulling off the comeback. Are they contenders or pretenders though? Pick: Jaguars, 24-20.

Line: Jaguars -3

ML: Jaguars

Spread: Jaguars

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3) @ Carolina Panthers (1-5)

The Panthers are cleaning house -- trading Robbie Anderson and Christian McCaffrey -- and very much seem destined for the first overall pick in next year's draft. The Bucs have been inconsistent so far and are still managing to stay afloat atop the NFC South; this should be a get right spot for them. Pick: Buccaneers, 27-13.

Line: Buccaneers -13

ML: Buccaneers

Spread: Buccaneers

Houston Texans (1-3-1) @ Las Vegas Raiders (1-4)

The Raiders are off to a poor start and come out of their bye week in desperate need of a win. It looks like Davante Adams caught a break and will be able to suit up for the foreseeable future. The offense will need him against a pretty stout Texans' secondary. Pick: Raiders, 24-16.

Line: Raiders -7

ML: Raiders

Spread: Raiders

New York Jets (4-2) @ Denver Broncos (2-4)

The Jets have been a surprise this season and it's been the defense leading the way with "Sauce" Gardner smothering opposing wideouts. Russell Wilson is a surprise scratch for this game as he's dealing with a hamstring injury, which leaves Brett Rypien to start. I think the Broncos defense steps up in a big way here and scrapes out a win. Pick: Broncos, 17-16.

Line: Jets -1.5

ML: Broncos

Spread: Broncos

Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) @ San Francisco 49ers (3-3)

The 49ers should get some help with the arrival of Christian McCaffrey, plus Nick Bosa and Trent Williams returning to the lineup. I think the Chiefs will be hungry for a win here after ending last week's game on a sour note and we just don't know if Jimmy Garoppolo can protect the ball enough to squeak out this game. Pick: Chiefs, 24-21.

Line: Chiefs -1

ML: Chiefs

Spread: Chiefs

Seattle Seahawks (3-3) @ Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)

Geno Smith has been the story in Seattle this year and I think he can keep pace with Justin Herbert in this game. Both of these offenses have big play ability even with Keenan Allen looking like a longshot again to play this week. The Chargers could get some momentum going here as they find themselves in a tie with the Chiefs for the division lead. Pick: Chargers, 26-23.

Line: Chargers -5

ML: Chargers

Spread: Seahawks

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-4) @ Miami Dolphins (3-3)

This game features a couple of interesting story lines. Brian Flores returns to the sidelines to face his former team and Tua Tagovailoa will get the start after a scary injury just a few weeks ago. Mike Tomlin got a great defensive effort from his reserves last week against the Bucs and the front seven will be looking to put the pressure on Tua early and often. Pick: Dolphins, 20-17.

Line: Dolphins -7.5

ML: Dolphins

Spread: Steelers

Chicago Bears (2-4) @ New England Patriots (3-3)

I can't imagine a Universe in which Justin Fields succeeds against a Bill Belichick coached defense. Fields has been pedestrian so far this season and I don't see that changing on Monday night in Foxborough. Pick: Patriots, 23-13.

Line: Patriots -8

ML: Patriots

Spread: Patriots

Michael Thomas and Keenan Allen are the 2 most unreliable WRs with skill in the NFL. Always hurt
