Divisional Round DFS Value Plays

There are some intriguing matchups in the divisional round this weekend, which will be kicked off with Derrick Henry's return to the Titans' lineup. He's been practicing for three weeks now and the anticipation is he will be at full health for this matchup against a depleted Bengals defensive line. On top of that, we could see a shootout on Sunday night between the Bills and Chiefs, so that could be an area of focus in your GPP formats this weekend. Let's dive into some value plays for the divisional round.

AJ Dillon, RB - Green Bay Packers (DK: $5,100 / FD: $6,100)

It's January at Lambeau Field and to nobody's surprise the temperature is going to be extremely cold and frigid -- 10 degrees Fahrenheit to be precise. I have to think Matt LaFleur gets both of his running backs involved early and often in this game and the better value play to me feels like Dillon here. His quads are built for these conditions, able to churn through the field and he's seen 14 rushing attempts in back-to-back games, finding the end zone twice in Week 17 against the Vikings. I think Dillon is a fine contrarian play in this spot.

Extra Value Play: Cam Akers, RB - L.A. Rams (DK: $5,500 / FD: $5,700)

Odell Beckham Jr., WR - L.A. Rams (DK: $5,300 / FD: $6,500)

Much of the Bucs' defensive gameplan will be about slowing down Cooper Kupp, as it should be. On the flip side to this that allows more time and space for OBJ, who has at least five targets, 30 receiving yards and a score in three of his last four games. These numbers tend to lean in the touchdown dependency bracket, which is what you'll be hoping for from OBJ in this game. If the Bucs play a spy over Kupp to help out the corner in coverage, this means Matthew Stafford should have Beckham open in space more often than not.

Extra Value Play: Brandon Aiyuk, WR - San Francisco 49ers (DK: $5,200 / FD: $5,900)

Allen Lazard, WR - Green Bay Packers (DK: $4,400 / FD: $6,000)

With the news that Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be out for this game, that creates an immediate uptick in target volume for Lazard against the 49ers. It's also worth noting that Lazard has been gaining Aaron Rodgers' trust more and more in recent weeks, averaging five targets, 64 receiving yards and found the end zone four times in his last three games. I would suspect Rodgers will be looking Lazard's way pretty frequently in this matchup.

Extra Value Play: Gabriel Davis, WR - Buffalo Bills (DK: $4,600 / FD: $5,300)
