Conference Championship NFL Picks

**All betting lines are from bet365.com**

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-5) @ Green Bay Packers (14-3)

Aaron Rodgers has been waiting for a NFC Championship game at Lambeau Field, and now he has one. Both of these teams are red hot -- the Bucs have won their last six games by an average margin of 15 points and the Packers have won seven straight by the same margin -- and we will get Brady vs. Rodgers when it matters the most. When these two teams met in Week 6, the Bucs blew out the Packers 38-10 (after Rodgers and Co. jumped out to an early 10-0 lead). Now, the weather is very much in Green Bay's favor -- although Brady is no stranger to January playoff games -- and I wonder if Aaron Jones plays a big factor in this matchup?

On the other side of the field, the Bucs will be without Antonio Brown in this game (who has gained chemistry with Brady in recent weeks), so Rob Gronkowski, Cameron Brate and Scotty Miller could be leaned on a bit more in the passing game. If the Bucs can establish the run early and often, then the pace of this game could slow down and keep them within striking distance of the Packers. Can Brady be the first QB to get his team to a Super Bowl while hosting it? Packers, 24-20.

Buffalo Bills (15-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs (15-2)

I'd be lying if I said I expected the Bills to make it to the AFC Championship. That's not to say I don't believe they're a great team, but I didn't think Josh Allen could get them there. However, they made it and will play the franchise's biggest game in nearly 25 years against the defending Super Bowl champs. I think it's safe to say that every Chiefs fan in Arrowhead Stadium had their heart sink in their stomach at the sight of Patrick Mahomes being helped off the field with wobbly legs last week. Mahomes never returned, but Chad Henne was able to come on in relief and lift the Chiefs past the Cleveland Browns. Mahomes is clearly banged up having been in concussion protocol all week, but also hampered by a lingering toe injury.

For the Bills, this is Allen's coming out party. He's played at an MVP level all season long and created a dynamic duo with Stefon Diggs in the passing game. The Bills are extremely well coached under Sean McDermott and the defense is now healthy at the right time. The Chiefs have failed to outscore an opponent by more than six points in nine straight games, so expect this matchup to be close. Are the Bills ready for the big dance? Chiefs, 28-27.

Line: Chiefs -3
